What we are doing to keep you and our people safe. New Protocols for AC Service Calls

We are taking the following steps to keep you and our employees safe during this unprecedented time. We will make every effort to provide timely service to keep you comfortable. Please understand that safety is our first concern. As you read through our new protocols, you can see that scheduling flexibility may become more important as time goes by. Our Service Techs will:

  • Take their Temperature before receiving their first call of the day
  • Dispatch directly from Home each day
  • Wear a mask at all times
  • Wear a fresh pair of gloves with every service call
  • Wear a fresh pair of shoe covers with every service call
  • Wash hands between calls
  • Wipe down and disinfect their phone before each service call
  • Disinfect their service van each day with Bleach or Vinegar
  • Maintain 6ft of distance from the customer
  • Forgo any handshake
  • Discuss all matters by phone or outside the home at a 6ft distance
  • Enlist the customers to help with things like adjusting the thermostat

Our field service technicians and installers must take their temperature every day before they take their first assignment. They will take a photo of the thermometer every day and send it to the office before being given their first assignment. Anyone with a temperature of 99.9 or higher is given the day off with pay. This may cause your appointment to be rescheduled to a different time and date. We apologize for any inconvenience. All service providers will be dispatched directly from home. This will allow for earlier and later appointments.

All of our office staff are working from home until further notice. Please forgive the children and dogs in the background.

All training and meetings for service techs and installers will be done using google meetings. We have used this technique many times so this we can easily implement this type of training.

If you are sick or have been exposed to anyone that is, we want to know. We have an additional layer of protection including eye protection, full-body suits and spray disinfectant protocols that we can implement. Even if you are not Covid-19 positive but have other symptoms, we need to know. You WILL STILL receive service. Much of the services and repairs to an AC can be done from the outside.

While we are at your home, please maintain a 6-foot distance from our technician. We must, for the safety of our technician and our customers, keep this distance. If you want to see up close what our tech is doing, he can send you photos immediately.

We are not going to shake hands. Just know that we are not showing a disrespect of any kind.

We will be wearing a fresh pair of nitrile gloves on every call.

We will also wear a mask for additional protection from our cough. Yes, we sometimes cough. If you have ever had to spend any time in your dusty attic or outdoor next to a blooming lilac next to an AC, then you will understand that we are going to cough from time to time.

When possible, we would like to discuss all matters outside. The CDC stated that this is safer than talking indoors.

We would also ask for your help with things like adjusting the thermostat. This will keep us out of your main living space. Since 99% of all repairs will be done in your attic, outside at the condenser, or on the roof there is little need for us to do anything inside the living space. If we do need to change the thermostat, we ask that you do not touch the thermostat for 24 hours as an extra layer of precaution.

Making payment for the service will be as seamless and easy as possible. If you are paying by check or cash just hand that to the tech and he will stick it directly in an envelope to hold for 48 hours. If you want to pay by credit card, we can swipe it or you can call that into the office when we are done.

When it is time to approve the job, you are welcome to sign on our “just cleaned” phone or you can have the estimate emailed to you and reply to the email with your approval.

Clearly it is not business as usual, but there is no reason to sit in an uncomfortable home. If you have other concerns, you should know that we are open to whatever else will help keep us all safe. No one has a playbook for this. We are developing layers of protection as we go. Stay safe and know that we are still here to help.

If you have lost your job as a result of the Covid-19 business closures we want to help. Check out the page: Helping those that have lost their jobs in Las Vegas.
