This air conditioning repair project started with a full check of the outdoor and indoor parts of a central AC system. Microfarads, often written as MFD or µF, measure how much electrical charge a capacitor can hold. The “70” side usually helps the compressor, and the “10” side usually helps the fan motor. The meter reading shown was about 10.07, which matches the 10 MFD side closely. This kind of test helps confirm whether the capacitor is still within its proper range.

A weak capacitor can cause the outdoor fan or compressor to struggle. The AC may hum, start slowly, shut off, blow warm air, or trip the breaker. Testing this part is a common step during an Air Conditioning repair because capacitor problems are common in hot areas like Las Vegas.
