New Central AC Installation Featuring Goodman System with ADP Coil Upgrade

Fast Affordable Air recently completed a professional air conditioning installation project in Las Vegas, featuring a high-efficiency Goodman condenser system paired with an Advanced Distributor Products (ADP) evaporator coil. This home now enjoys better cooling, quieter operation, and more reliable performance, thanks to proper installation and quality components.

Indoor System Setup

The indoor unit includes a Goodman gas furnace paired with an ADP model AG80936D175B2020AP coil system. The coil is designed for R-410A refrigerant and rated for up to 450 PSI. This model also uses a thermal expansion valve (TXV), which provides better metering of refrigerant flow, especially in high-efficiency systems. You can learn more about these components on the AC installation service page.

We ensured secure and clean PVC condensate drain line connections with a properly installed Safe-T-Switch. This switch is a safety device that shuts off the HVAC system if the drain pan fills up, preventing water damage in case of a clogged drain line.

We also sealed all duct and piping connections using blue Teflon tape and ensured proper pitch on the drainage for gravity-fed flow. The refrigerant lines were insulated to improve efficiency and reduce energy loss.

Combustion Venting and Gas Furnace

The attached Goodman furnace features a sealed burner cabinet with a clean 80% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating. The flue exhaust is securely connected with double-wall B-vent piping to ensure safe exhaust of combustion gases. All venting was installed with proper clearance and slope per code.

The water heater, located next to the furnace, shares part of the exhaust vent, so we verified that both appliances vent properly to avoid backdrafting, which can be a hazard if improperly configured.

Outdoor Condenser Unit

The outdoor Goodman condenser is installed on a plastic equipment pad atop landscape rock for proper drainage. The refrigerant lines are wrapped in UV-resistant insulation, and the electrical whip is securely connected to a dedicated disconnect box for safe servicing. You can see our process for air conditioning repair and maintenance here.

We also pressure-tested the lines before releasing refrigerant and checked for any possible leaks. This ensures the system runs efficiently and extends compressor life. The condenser is designed to operate with R-410A refrigerant, a more environmentally friendly option than older R-22 systems.

Benefits to the Homeowner

  • Higher efficiency: The Goodman + ADP combination provides reliable performance with improved SEER ratings.
  • Lower energy bills: Proper insulation and sealed connections reduce energy waste.
  • Safety built-in: The Safe-T-Switch protects against water damage, and venting is compliant with safety codes.
  • Quieter operation: Outdoor condenser fan blades and motor housing help keep noise levels down.
  • Future-ready: With R-410A refrigerant and a TXV valve, the system is optimized for current and future standards.

This project highlights our commitment to clean workmanship, up-to-code installs, and using trusted brands like Goodman and ADP. Whether you need central cooling, heating and cooling system upgrades, or ductwork adjustments, Fast Affordable Air has you covered across the Las Vegas Valley.
