Welcome to another successful project by Fast Affordable Air, serving the Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and surrounding areas of Clark County. Today, I’ll take you through the installation of a top-tier heating and cooling system in a residential home. This project involved some unique challenges, including working in a tight attic space and ensuring minimal disruption to the homeowner’s daily routine.
Procedure
Initial Assessment
Upon arrival, we conducted a thorough assessment of the existing HVAC setup. The goal was to replace the old, inefficient system with a state-of-the-art Bosch 2.5 Ton 20 SEER Dual Fuel Split System, comprising a Bosch Heat Pump Condenser and Coil and a 95% efficiency Bosch Gas Furnace. This setup is ideal for achieving superior energy efficiency and reliable performance.
Removal of Old System
The first step was safely disconnecting and removing the old HVAC system. This process involved careful handling to prevent any damage to the existing ductwork and ensuring all refrigerant was responsibly recovered.
Installation of New System
Placement of Outdoor Units: The outdoor heat pump condenser units were placed on stable, level surfaces outside the home. These units are crucial for the system’s efficiency and require precise placement to ensure optimal performance.
Attic Installation: The new Bosch Gas Furnace and Coil were installed in the attic. This involved working in a cramped, insulated space. We ensured the furnace was securely mounted and all connections were properly sealed to prevent any air leaks.
Connecting the System: We connected the heat pump to the indoor furnace and coil, making sure all electrical and refrigerant lines were correctly installed. The dual fuel system allows the heat pump and gas furnace to work together efficiently, providing both heating and cooling throughout the year.
System Testing and Calibration: After installation, we meticulously tested the system to ensure everything was operating as expected. This included checking refrigerant levels, airflow, and ensuring the thermostat was accurately calibrated to control both the heating and cooling cycles.
